In 1977, Jugoasbest produced annually 1,000 tons of friction materials for brakes and couplings of motor vehicles, asbestos-textile products (yarn, canvas, braids/ 600 tons annually, Teflon material 5 tons and sealants for internal combustion engines, 160 tons annually. The income was 455 thousand dinars per employee in 1976. Completion of the construction of a new hall of 6,400 m2, a factory of sealing materials, is expected by the end of 1978. In 1977, 300 workers worked in Jugoasbest, of which 250 were in direct contact with asbestos, who had a benefited working experience. That was the period of director Dr. Dragan Jeftić.
