The induction telephone PTI-49 is a product of the domestic dedicated industry from 1949. It served to maintain the telephone connection in all JA and JNA units along Polish lines at distances of up to 40 km. It is connected to the telephone exchange of the LB (local battery) system. Its housing was made of hard bakelite. It was powered by a voltage of 1.5V from an R-20 type battery. In the mid-60s, it was taken out of use and replaced by a more modern solution, the M-63 telephone set.
