The Special Police Units or Police Special Units (Posebne jedinice policije, PJP) was a special police force unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia (MUP).
It had several detachments and was part of the sector of the State Security Service. It was disbanded on Vidovdan in 2001 when it was replaced by the re-establishment of the Gendarmery.
During the Kosovo War (1998–1999), the force had an estimated 7.000 men. The PJP detachments were based at Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Užice, Niš and Priština.
Blue ameoba pattern is blue puzzle variation of the Army M89 pattern has was worn by the Serbian Special Police unit PJP (Posebne Jedinice Policije) since around 1992. Only two series produced because this pattern is so hard to find. The blue amoeba stripe police pattern of camouflage, made in 2 variants, was based on the M93 camouflage pattern adopted by the army. Developed for the field service needs of the special police, The pattern contained traces of blue and purple, with a rare grey variant being produced as well. The pattern saw extensive use with the Special police units (PJP) during the Kosovo war the aggression of 1998. & 1999. After years of service, it was phased out in 2001.
