Upper left is Radomir Putnik Duke (Field Marshal) was a Serbian military commander, minister of war, duke, chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia in the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) and in the First World War. As the main strategist of the Serbian army, Putnik was also the main architect of the great Serbian victories in the battles at Kumanovo (1912) against the Ottomans, against the Bulgarians at Bregalnica (1913), against the Austro-Hungarians at Cer and Kolubara (1914).
Lower left is Živojin Mišić was a Serbian duke from the First World War. Živojin Mišić participated in all Serbian wars from 1876-1918. He directly commanded the Serbian First Army in the Battle of Kolubara, and during the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki Front he was the head of the Supreme Command.
Middle is Stepa Stepanović is a Serbian military leader who is considered one of the greatest heroes of Serbian military history.
Stepa Stepanović joined the Serbian army in 1874 as a cadet of the Artillery School. He participated in the Serbian-Turkish wars (1876-1878), as a cadet-sergeant, later as a second lieutenant. Even then, he was noted as a brave and persistent military officer, who in critical moments entered the firing squad to encourage his soldiers by personal example, for which he was awarded the Takovski Cross with Swords.
Lower right is Petar Bojović he was a Serbian and Yugoslav voivode (marshal).
He participated in the Serbian-Turkish wars, during which he was in the headquarters of the Supreme Command, and after the wars, he became a battery sergeant in Belgrade. After the Serbo-Bulgarian war, he became a cavalry sergeant, and then in 1891 he passed the exam and received the rank of captain. At the same time, he was appointed Acting Chief of Staff of the Moravian Division in Nis, where he remained for five years. He changed several duties until the outbreak of the Balkan Wars in 1912, when he was the commander of the Cavalry Division.
Upper righ is Dragoljub Draža Mihailović he was the leader of the Chetniks in World War II. He fought first against the occupier, and then against Yugoslav partisans in cooperation with the occupier.
Colonel Mihailović, a pre-war officer of the Yugoslav army, escaped capture after the April war and went to the mountains with a group of officers. After the outbreak of the uprising in Serbia in 1941, Mihailović joined the fighting, but soon offered himself to the Germans to fight against the partisans. However, after the confrontation with the partisans, the Germans went after Mihailović. Pursued by the Germans, Mihailović earned Allied recognition and the rank of General of the Yugoslav Army in his homeland.
