The Militia of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was a body of the Federal Secretariat of Internal Affairs of the socio-political communities of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in charge of preserving internal order and peace.

The SFRY militia was established during the People's Liberation Struggle in the liberated and semi-liberated areas within the People's Liberation Committees or local commands. During the Second World War, it was known under various names: Partisan Guard, Village Guard, People's Protection, etc. Since 1944, it has been called the People's Militia, and since 1966, the Militia.
