The Armed Forces of Serbia and Montenegro included ground forces with internal and border troops, naval forces, air and air defense forces, and civil defense. Preceding the VSCG was the Yugoslav Army from the remnants of the Yugoslav People's Army, the military of SFR Yugoslavia.

M89 Helmet was issued to the Ground forces of Yugoslav Peoples Army, later was used by SRJ Yugoslavia troops. Identical design & manufacture as the M89 police version.

This helmet saw mostly use in Serbia & Montenegro, It looks like it never seen use in other republics.
